small and independent production.

Art of Citizenry is proudly independent. This allows us to speak with raw honesty about the ways people, brands, and organizations perpetuate colonial legacies. Here, we embrace the power of nuance and unfiltered truth, believing that meaningful growth emerges when we face complexity head-on. Through in-depth conversations with activists, human rights advocates, communities on the frontlines, and many more, we dissect the critical issues we’re facing as a People while exploring ways to defend our collective well-being.

Hosted by social impact advisor and human rights scholar Manpreet Kaur Kalra, Art of Citizenry unpacks the complexities shaping our world through the lens of justice. With a sharp focus on culture, economics, and politics, the podcast explores how historic oppression persists and evolves, confronting the colonial legacies that shape our systems today. Through thoughtful conversations about decolonization and storytelling, Manpreet examines the power of narrative in challenging systemic inequities. From the impacts of business on people and the planet to the resilience of communities fighting for justice, Manpreet challenges us to rethink the systems we live in and envision a more equitable future that is restorative and just.
